I was seven years old on a family vacation in Mexico when I got an opportunity to shine. One night at the resort’s entertainment venue, I worked up the courage to go on stage and sing “Shallow.”
Standing in front of a crowd much bigger than I had ever seen, my heart was racing—but the moment I started singing, something just clicked. The nerves faded, the music took over, and for the first time, I felt completely at home. In that moment, under those bright lights, I realized this is where I belonged.
